Dodgeit is dead, long live Dodgit!

Effective immediately dodgeit.com is now dodgit.com. It was simply no longer possible to support the millions of messages a day dodgeit received on a single server, so I simply switched the domain name.

Please Use: dodgit.com

If you made a donation to the old dodgit, all is not lost! I have legacy support for your old account up and running at: private.dodgeit.com. Use your old login and pass and let me know if you can’t get in.

If you desperately need access to an old dodgeit account but never made a donation, send me an email at roger -at- tarponcreek -dot- com. Please include the mailbox name in your message. I’m a reasonable guy. It helps to ask nicely :-)

I’m getting messages pretty much instantly on the new dodgit, let me know if your experience is different.

    Yea, now my biggest thing is trying to remember to drop the E…but yea, would a full transition to dodgIT.com be possible? :) It might make remembering a tad easier…

    Might need to do some SEO work too, so the old engines drop the old dodgeit stuff…not to mention all the old press, to point them to the new home here :)

    Im guessing the main reason for the change was the large amount of spam?

    What is done with it? Have you thought of “donating” it to projects such as knujon and/or spamcop? :)

    Granted, not ALL “incoming” dodgit mail is “spam”…but yea.

    I think you should delete week-old mail as promised. Please do it. You can’t expect contributions if you don’t live up to your promises.

    any chance you could get the feeds working in IE7? I’m seeing the error:

    Internet Explorer does not support feeds with DTDs.

    More information

    This feed contains a DTD (Document Type Definition). DTDs are used to define a structure of a webpage. Internet Explorer does not support DTDs in feeds.

    Also, figured I’d bring it to your attn, I previously subscribed to a dodgEit.com mailbox feed, and it’s still receiving updates with the name-change ;) Though, now I get multiple updates, one from dodgit.com and another from dodgeit.com hehe….

    I am receiving the same message as Fergie when I try to access my mail.

    I often get the same error like fergie the last days. When the mailbox was displayed, i can see only old mails, new mails seems they did not arrive.

    I urgently need 1 mail from an recordservice, because i changed my registered mailadress from @dodgeit.com to the new @dodgit.com and now i am blocked because i can’t confirm the new adress, the old one was blocked too.
    If you can help it will be very friendly.

    I love dodgit and use it all the time. I found a similar service at stingbox.com adn this one captures HTML images. The negative is no RSS, but it’s still pretty cool.

    Again no mails can be delivered, to any dodgit account. Old mails was shown and can be read.

    Hi!
    If dodgit.com is really down, I would like to say “Thank you!” to the creator.
    I’m very sad about it, it was one of the best antispam services.
    A lot of services (forums, sharing sites, etc.) don’t accept mailaddresses with the word “spam” like “@nospamblablabla.com” anymore, but a lot of antispam-mail services have this addresses. So they are senseless. Dodgit.com hasn’t made this mistake and was save too, no IP logging . Best wishes.

    Thanks to Google, I found this blog tonight. And now can access my paid-for account again. Only two non-spams in it, and one of those was a bounce test I did to it last month :) Looks like the new site is down though since I can not get the page to load at all. Oh well, I still have the account I really needed to retain, that is why I dontated to make it private.
